Sgt. 1st Class Luis Quiñones, a cyber network defender assigned to the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 16th Combat Aviation Brigade, joined the Army 18 years ago following the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. Quiñones worked in Times Square and watched as United Airlines Flight 175 crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center at 9:03 a.m. In an effort to honor his friend's father who died responding to the attacks and do something meaningful for his country, Quiñones enlisted in the Army.
