Blas, his wife and brother, perform the Chamorro Dance for Sailors and guest at the Pearl Harbor Chapel on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam during the Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month celebration. There are approximately 24,500 Asian American and Pacific Islander service members serving in the Navy, including eight admirals and 235 master chief and senior chief petty officers. These service members represent more than 56 ethnic groups, speaking over 100 languages from Asia and the Pacific Islands, living in the United States.
