STRAIT OF HORMUZ (July 21, 2016) - Aviation Ordnanceman Airman Apprentice Mary Mars, from Philadelphia, Pa., cleans the wing of an F/A-18E Super Hornet assigned to the Gunslingers of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 105 in the hangar bay of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
