180720-G-ZV557-1106 PACIFIC OCEAN (July 20, 2018) A Coast Guard Tactical Delivery Team (TDT) secure the hanger deck of the guided-missile destroyer USS William P. Lawrence (DDG 110) July 20, during a training demonstration for Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercises. Twenty-five nations, 46 ships, five submarines, about 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC from June 27 to Aug. 2 in and around the Hawaiian Island and Southern California. The world’s largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships among the participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world’s oceans.
