A 63rd Military Airlift Wing C-141B Starlifter aircraft sits up on jack stands while undergoing repairs on its main landing gear. The landing gear was lost when the aircraft skidded off the end of the runway at Iwakuni Marine Corps Air Station, Okinawa, Japan, on January 13, 1987. The aircraft, which also sustained extensive damage to its fuselage and right wing, was returned to flyable condition at Iwakuni and then flown to Yokota for further work
