The helicopter and ground crew are from the Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron, North Island, California, and are in New Mexico participating in ROVING SANDS '97. The helicopters are participating as part of the Red forces for the exercise. ROVING SANDS is a multinational effort and is the largest military exercise on United States soil that allows training in a joint environment to hone command and control procedures and integrate new systems in Theater and Air Missile Defense
