A hurricane-damaged home, visited by Capt. Jeff Yin,
Summary
A hurricane-damaged home, visited by Capt. Jeff Yin, Task Force Michael battle captain, and Ryan King, quality assurance for Operation Blue Roof, during an initial inspection in Panama City Beach, Florida, Nov. 19 to verify eligibility for the program. The homeowner submitted a right of entry after initial repairs to his roof, damaged during Hurricane Michael, to see if he qualified for the free, professionally-installed reinforced sheeting service offered by the Corps of Engineers in support of FEMA. To date more than 7,000 Blue Roofs have been installed in the Florida panhandle to protect property and allow residents to remain in their homes while recovering from the storm.
