A Latvian National Team player swings and misses a fastball during a baseball game against Soldiers from Attack Company, 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne) out of Vicenza, Italy, held in Riga, Latvia, Aug. 8. The esprit de corps developed during the game increased the camaraderie among Latvians and the U.S. Soldiers deployed to the region for Operation Atlantic Resolve.
