A Marine with Headquarters and Service Company, 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, currently attached to the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, takes part in the Special Operations Training Group’s Security Element Course Oct. 7 at Stone Bay’s Multipurpose Range. The course focuses on close quarters tactics and shooting drills required to conduct a Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure, and serves as a stepping stone to further VBSS training scheduled in the coming months. The 24th MEU is scheduled to deploy early next year with 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment as their Battalion Landing Team.

All of these materials are preserved because they are important to the workings of Government, have long-term research worth, or provide information of value to citizens.
