A Polish air force F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft flies over Lask Air Base, Poland, June 13, 2014, during exercise Eagle Talon. Eagle Talon provided aerial combat tactics training in a combined environment. U.S. Air Force aircraft assigned to the Poland Aviation Detachment also took part in the exercise. In October 2012, the U.S. Air Force established the first permanent U.S. military presence in Poland. Together with a rotational deployment of U.S. military aircraft, the Air Force supported Poland's continued defense modernization and standardization with the U.S. and NATO.
