A US Army service member field dresses and stores his parachute after participating in an US/Thai joint-combined jump exchange at this year's Exercise COBRA GOLD 2001. A jump exchange is a time honored jump tradition that affords individual the opportunity to earn the right to wear the wings of foreign military paratroopers who participate in the jump exchange. CG '01 is regularly scheduled, joint-combined exercise designed to ensure regional peace and strengthen the ability of the royal Thai Armed Forces to defend Thailand or respond to regional contingencies. This year's exercise, the 20th in a series, will focus on peace enforcement operations
