A US Army (USA) SPECIALIST Fourth Class (SPC) pauses to catch his breath after completing the obstacle course during training for the Expert Field Medical Badge (EFMB). The training includes a series of hands-on tests on communications, common skill tasks, emergency medical treatment, evacuation of the sick and wounded, litter obstacle course, day/night land navigation courses, comprehensive written test, 12-mile foot march, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), Physical Fitness Test and Weapons qualification. This is the first time the badge is offered in the Balkan region and participants include American, German, and Russian Soldiers during Operation JOINT FORGE
