A U.S. Marine assigned to Marine Wing Support Squadron

A U.S. Marine assigned to Marine Wing Support Squadron 371 (MWSS-371) provides security as a MV-22B Osprey leaves Forward Armored Refueling Point (FARP) - LZ Star, Jan. 22, 2019. During this portion of the training exercise, the bulk fuels specialists of MWSS-371 practiced setting up security for an MV-22B Osprey landing at AUX II. The MV-22B is a tiltrotor aircraft with both vertical takoff and landing (VTOL), and short takeoff and landing capabilities (STOL) and is the primary assault support aircraft for the U.S. Marine Corps. MCAS Yuma is a prime location to conduct military training with its variety of different training range; both foreign military units and all branches of the U.S. military that visit the air station utilize the ranges throughout the year.
