A U.S. Marine manning the rails aboard the USS San Diego (LPD 22) looks out at the Golden Gate Bridge during the Parade of Ships at San Francisco Fleet Week, San Francisco, Oct. 7, 2016. The parade was a demonstration of Navy, Coast Guard, and Royal Canadian Navy ships as they passed underneath the Golden Gate Bridge. San Francisco Fleet Week is an event where thousands of Marines and Sailors come to showcase the capabilities of the Navy-Marine Corps team to local residents, and an opportunity for service members to meet and thank the community for its support.
