ACAJUTLA, El Salvador (April 19, 2018) Improved Navy Lighterage System Causeway Ferries 06 and 07, operated by Sailors from Amphibious Construction Battalion 2, are moored together to the pier in preparation for pier-side Lift On/ Lift Off operations to commence with the help of Salvadorians crane operators during Joint Logistics Over the Shore (JLOTS 18). JLOTS 18 is part of U.S. Southern Command’s exercise Beyond the Horizon, led by U.S. Army South, that helps to bolster regional and partner relations through humanitarian and civic assistance projects, medical readiness exercises, and exercise related construction projects taking place in El Salvador.
