Summary
An Iraqi Security Forces (ISF) soldier examines a simulated casualty’s back for wounds during a culminating training exercise, on Camp Taji, Iraq, July 16, 2019. The School of Infantry Noncommissioned Officer II, with assistance from Task Group Taji 9, assessed and evaluated ISF soldiers on a variety of scenarios in real time. Assessments consisted of complex sequences that covered counter ambushes, counter-improvised explosive device, and urban clearance drills. Together, the Coalition and the ISF will develop a sustainable and inclusive ISF that can secure its sovereign borders, protect the population, support a normalcy across the country and ensure the lasting defeat of Daesh.
