As part of the ORI a major accident involving a pick-up truck and a snow plow was staged at the Civil Engineering compound. Fire trucks and medical personnel treated the injured and removed them from the scene while fire personnel put out the fires. They were participating in the 21st Space Wing's Operational Readiness Inspection conducted at Cheyenne Mountain Air Station and Peterson AFB, Colo., 13 to 17 February 1996. The Inspector General's Team tested their ability to respond to battle conditions, power outages, mobility deployments, aircraft and automobile accidents, hostage situations, bomb threats, armed robbery, terrorism, and communication disruptions
