Description: A view of the Earth as photographed from the Apollo 12 spacecraft some three and a half hours after it lifted off on Nov. 14, 1969. Lake Michigan can be seen in the upper left corner of the photograph. The river at the center of the photograph is the Red River and the point of land visible in the lower right corner is the Yucatan Peninsula. The cloud formation suggests a frontal passage that is in the Gulf of Mexico. Images was taken during the translunar injection phase of the Apollo 12 mission. Original film magazine was labeled Q, film type was S0-368 (Ektachrome MS, color reversal), 80mm lens. The approximate photo scale is 1:15,000,000.
