Ben Moeling (Right,) the director of the Kandahar Provincial Reconstruction Team from Norwalk, Conn., and U.S. Army Capt. Walt Reed, commander of C Company, 1st Battalion or the 66th Armored Regiment, patrol Dehe Kuchay village, June 4. The soldiers of C Company have made significant improvements in the area including clearing more than 150 acres of farmland of mines. Moeling accompanied Kandahar City Mayor Ghulam Hamidi on a tour of Sub-District Eight. PRTs work with the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the district and provincial levels to improve security and infrastructure capacity.
