Bronx, N.Y., Nov. 10, 2012 -- Kathy Fields, FEMA Division Supervisor for the Bronx presented a donation of $350.00 and a $25.00 Dunkin' Donut's gift card to Andrew Keane, Assistant Fire Chief for the Edgewater Volunteer Fire Department, as an extra ΓÇ£Thank YouΓÇ¥ to the volunteer firemen and their community. The Edgewater Volunteer Fire Department lent their station house as a Disaster Recovery Center, to help those they serve in their community as well as others in the Bronx that would make their way to the FEMA Disaster Recovery Center for assistance. The station house also served as warm place of refuge for Community Relations teams walking out in the elements to ensure that the residents of the Bronx knew how to register for FEMA assistance and where to go for help
