CAMP HANSEN, OKINAWA, Japan – Lance Cpl. Demetrious Board holds a ballistic shield before firing during an Special Reaction Team familiarization range Nov. 8 aboard Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan. Board completed static, transition and shield and masker movement drills with the ballistic shield under the instruction of the SRT leader. The SRT Marines are the Marine Corp’s version of SWAT acting as first responders for Marine Corps Installations across Okinawa. These Marines utilizes familiarization ranges to ensure their team is comfortable and familiar with the different weapon systems. Board is a member of SRT with the Provost Marshal’s Office, Headquarters and Support Battalion, Marine Corps Installations Pacific-Marine Corps Base Camp Butler, Japan.
