Summary
Capt. Scott Maurer, commander of Battery B, 1st Battalion, 76th Field Artillery Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, scribes Lt. Col. Terry Crowe’s name on a 105mm round, May 24, at Fort Stewart, Ga. Crowe, Maurer’s cousin, was killed in action while serving with the 10th Mountain Division during Operation Iraqi Freedom. The round was fired in Crowe’s honor during Battery B’s unique Memorial Day tribute that honored service members who have sacrificed their lives in order to protect the freedoms of the United States of America.
