Summary
Chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense Marines work together to operate a pulley system March 29 during confined space entry training on Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Okinawa, Japan. The training allowed CBRN Marines to train in locating and neutralizing threats in a real world underground environment. During the training, the Marines were lowered into a cavern in teams of two or three and performed rigging, reconnaissance, sampling and casualty evacuation. The Marines are with Headquarters Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
