CLB-31, 31st MEU conducts NEO rehearsal

KIN BLUE, Okinawa (Sept. 13, 2020) Lance Cpl. Alyssa B. Casazza, an ammunition technician with Combat Logistics Battalion (CLB) 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), escorts the evacuee role-players during a noncombatant evacuation operation (NEO) rehearsal. A NEO is the evacuation of civilians and nonessential military personnel from danger in an overseas country to a designated safe haven. CLB-31, 31st MEU, conducted the training from amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) to increase speed and proficiency during a NEO. America, flagship of America Amphibious Ready Group (ARG), 31st MEU team, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
