Summary
NEW LONDON, Conn. (Oct. 3, 2003) --- Pass in review. The Regimental companies march off to the field, to the center of the field, execute a mass left, march toward the Reviewing Party, execute another mass left, and march off the field. This is the last phase of the regimental review honoring the Class of 1953 alumni. Regimental commander, staff and companies march during a regimental review conducted in honor of Class of 1953 alumni. Drill practice, regimental reviews, formations and other ceremonies addvalue to a cadet's development an serve as a reminder of the military nature of the Academy and proud heritage of our service. It is intended that self-discipline, patience, precision, obedience, teamwork, accountability and command presence becomefamiliar habits to all cadets. These events also serve as a visual reminders of the mlitary spirit needed for both the profession of humanitarian and public service and the profession of arms which future Coast Guard officers embrace; they are remindersto thepeople who live within the barracks and to the people who trust us to serve this nation.
