Col. Greg Ebner, head of the Department of Foreign

Col. Greg Ebner, head of the Department of Foreign Languages at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, assists Seaman Apprentice Logan Fracassa July 6 with his Arabic assignment at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center. Ebner attended the institute in 1996-1997 as part of his training to become a Foreign Area Officer. Ebner went on to gain fluency in Arabic, earning a doctorate in the language from the University of Texas at Austin in 2012. He returned to Monterey, California, for a 90-day developmental assignment at the institute's continuing education directorate.
