Col. Timothy Dremann, Chief of Staff of 2nd Marine Division speaks at a Vietnam veterans pinning ceremony. Sept. 7, 2018, in Charlotte, N.C., as a part of Marine Week Charlotte. The Marines held a pinning ceremony for the veterans of the Vietnam War to thank them for paving the way for today’s Marine Corps. Each veteran stood to be recognized, and was then approached by an active-duty Marine who placed a commemorative pin on their shirt. Navy Cross recipient, Sgt. Maj John L. Canley, attended and was recognized by Sgt. Maj. of the Marine Corps Ronald Green.
