Coordination center disperses life-saving information region wide

U.S. Army Pfc. Anthony Berry, Sgt. Antwone Coverdale and Pfc. Brandon Parsons, all from the Security Forces Advisory Team 4, 1st Heavy Combat Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, check their computers shortly after a phone call came into the Operations Coordination Center for the province of Kandahar on Dec. 8. The OCCP acts as an information hub and includes both Afghan National Security Forces liaisons and their coalition counterparts. Reports feed into the center, and the staff assesses and selects the appropriate agency to respond to the situation.
