Corporal Linda Santerre is a Resource Management Support
Summary
Corporal Linda Santerre is a Resource Management Support Clerk at the Canadian Forces School of Communications and Electronics in Kingston, Ontario. She has been a member of the Canadian Armed Forces for more than six years and currently deployed on Exercise Rim of the Pacific 2016 in Hawaii.
As the Joint Coalition Chief Clerk for RIMPAC, she is responsible for tracking member arrivals, submitting daily Coalition status reports, providing administrative support as required, and assisting with out-clearance routines.
“I joined the CAF for the employment opportunities both inside and outside of Canada. It was also a way of giving back to my Country,” said Cpl Santerre. “RIMPAC is my very first exercise and I am very happy to be part of it. I have had the opportunity to work with all three elements and it has enabled me to have a better understanding of the way the different elements function within a joint exercise.”
Twenty-six nations, more than 40 ships and submarines, more than 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC from June 30 to Aug. 4, in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. The world's largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity that helps participants foster and sustain the cooperative relationships that are critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world's oceans. RIMPAC 2016 is the 25th exercise in the series that began in 1971. (Canadian Forces Combat Camera photo by Corporal Brett White-Finkle)
