Dr. Benny Gooden, superintendent of Fort Smith school system, is presented with an Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Patriot Award, July 31, 2015, during a faculty luncheon at Ramsey Junior High School, Fort Smith, Ark. Col. Bobbi Doorenbos, 188th Wing commander attended they presentation and thanked the administration for the support they provide. The Patriot Award seeks to honor individual supervisors who support citizen warriors through a range of measures including flexible schedules, time off for training and deployments, caring for families and leave of absences if necessary.
