Dual-hatted New York service members deploy to Kosovo

New York Army Reserve Sgt. Justen Fernandez and Sgt. Louis Li fly the New York Police Department flag April 14, 2020 at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo.
Fernandez and Li are full-time NYPD officers and members of the NY Army Reserve’s 423rd Military Police Company.
The 423rd is organic to East Shoreham, NY, and is currently deployed in Kosovo supporting the NATO-led Kosovo Force mission.
Fernandez, Li and the 423rd are charged with ensuring force protection for KFOR personnel and ensuring the safety and security for all the people of Kosovo.
