Flooding ^ Hurricane/Tropical Storm - West Windsor, Vt. , Oct. 18, 2011 -- The Bowers Bridge is one of two remaining Tied Arch design bridges left in Vermont. During Hurricane/Tropical Storm Irene debris tore it off it's abutments and washed it 200 yards down river. The rebuilding of the bridge is a collaborative effort of the town, state and Federal agencies. While the bridge remains amazingly intact, the shed part needs to be completely rebuilt.
