Former president Jimmy Carter and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter bid a final farewell to former President Gerald R. Ford, the 38th president of the United States, during a military departure ceremony held in his honor at Andrews Air Force Base, Md., J an. 2, 2007. The Fords will continue on to Grand Rapids, Michigan, the hometown of the former commander in chief, where the grounds of the Gerald R.
