FORT CARSON, Colo. — Staff Sgt. Ryan Belding, Army Reserve drill instructor, 415th Infantry Regiment, provides instruction to a future Soldier during a physical readiness training drill at Pershing Field May 12, 2018. The future Soldiers, all local young people enrolled in the Future Soldier program through the Colorado Springs Recruiting Company, participated in the Future Soldier Mega Event. The event was designed to introduce some of the typical stressors recruits can expect to experience during basic training. Many of the future Soldiers will ship out to basic training during the next few months. (Photo by Scott Prater)

The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The Defense Visual Information Distribution Service provides a connection between world media and the American military personnel serving at home and abroad. All of these materials are preserved because they are important to the workings of Government, have long-term research worth, or provide information of value to citizens.
