Fort Wainwright hosted a remembrance ceremony to honor

Fort Wainwright hosted a remembrance ceremony to honor the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the United States on Sept. 11, 2019. Col. Christopher Ruga, U.S. Army Garrison Alaska’s garrison commander, and the garrison – hosted Soldiers, Family members, Civilian and anyone with post access to the ceremony to mark the 18th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the U.S. In attendance included the Chief of Staff of the Army, Gen. James McConville, the U.S. Army Alaska Commanding General, Maj. Gen. Peter Andrysiak, and local leaders from the Fairbanks North Star Borough.
