Fury paratroopers earn coveted EIB
Summary
Pfc. Zachery M. Jefferson, a medic assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 508th Special Troop Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, tends to a soldier after a 12-mile road march during testing for the Expert Infantry Badge Aug. 23. During the five days of testing, paratroopers were required to take an Army physical fitness test, complete a 12-mile ruck march, and 30 separate infantry skills, which included weapons knowledge, emergency medical procedures, land navigation and calling for artillery support. Out of more than 300 that started, only 17 paratroopers pinned on their EIB.
