Gen. Curtis Scaparrotti, the commander of the United States European Command and the Supreme Allied Commander Europe of NATO Allied Command Operations, attends lunch at the dining facility in Adazi Military Base, Latvia, as a part of Operation Atlantic Resolve, March 15, 2017. Throughout the lunch Scaparrotti spoke with the members at the table as he inquires about their training. His official visit to Latvia is for discussion of the security situation in the region and bilateral defense cooperation between the U.S and Latvia.  His schedule includes meetings with Prime Minister Maris Kucinskis (Greens/Farmers), Parliament Speaker Inara Murniece (National Alliance), Defense Minister Raimonds Bergmanis (Greens/Farmers), and Chief of Defense Major General Leonids Kalnins.
