As a result of the end of the cold war, armed forces from the east and west are meeting to further understand and strengthen friendships. Just such a visit occurred when a MIG-29 from the former East Germany landed and hosted a flight for Commander in CHIEF U.S. Air Forces Europe, General Robert C. Oaks. Gen Oaks returned the favor by giving the German pilot an F-16 ride
