The awards annually recognize the accomplishments of Marine Corps food service workers and facilities. Jaramillo is a food service specialist and the field mess hall’s manager with Combat Logistics Regiment 37, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force. The evaluators were two Marines with extensive food service backgrounds and a civilian who represents the National Restaurant Association.
