Haftar, Sons of Iraq, becomes the first SoI member

Haftar, Sons of Iraq, becomes the first SoI member in the Karadah District of eastern Baghdad to receive a salary payment directly from the government of Iraq on Nov. 12. This was the first payment the Iraqi government made to SoI personnel in Karadah since they integrated the SoI into government service last month. Officials from 1st Brigade, 1st National Police Division, verified SoI members' identities and made the payments as leaders from 5th Battalion 25th Field Artillery, 4th Brigade Combat Team 10th Mountain Division, assisted the effort.
