Summary

This illustration entitled, "Hard Sledding in Colorado", by cartoonist Clifford Berryman, which appeared in the Washington Post on January 12, 1903, depicts the situation with regard to the Colorado Senatorship in the wake of Henry M. Teller's resignation and the inability of Edward Wolcott to secure the position. Here, a runaway sled is seen that neither man could control as Teddy Bear looks on in dismay.

The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
