Humanitarian Daily Rations (HDRs) are destined for Afghanistan. C-17A Globemaster IIIs carried 35,000 packaged in 84 Tri-Wall Aerial Delivery System (TRIADS) boxes on each mission. In a three way first, the C-17A will deliver the first operational TRIAD delivery, it will be its first combat airdrop mission and this is the first of its kind, high altitude airdrop for HDRs
