In MILES (Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System), AIRMAN First Class Rickey Pearson, USAF, 31st Security Forces Squadron, Aviano Air Base, Italy, uses his Colt 5.56 mm M16A2 rifle to cover the exit to a building after clearing it. As part of Ground Combat Skills (GCS) training, the mission scenario is to move in and occupy a mock village, restore order and allow for peaceful elections.
