It is not uncommon to find notes, letters, and pictures
Summary
It is not uncommon to find notes, letters, and pictures from family and friends of service members who died as a direct result of their wounds during the Vietnam conflict placed at the foundation of the traveling “Wall that Heals.” The 108th Training Command (IET) Junior Officer Association sponsored a staff ride Sunday, Oct. 19, to provide professional development on lessons learned from past conflicts. Approximately 8,000 people visited the memorial in Fort Mill, S.C., from Oct. 15-19. Eleven service members from Fort Mill died from wounds directly received during the Vietnam conflict.
