Jackie Pfluge, 30, of Pasadena, Texas, is carried by Air Force personnel from an ambulance onto a waiting C-9 Nightingale aircraft on the final leg of her medical evacuation to Ramstein Air Base, West Germany, and the Army hospital at Landstuhl. Pfluge was flown from Luqa Airport, Malta, after being shot in the head, then released, by terrorists who hijacked an EgyptAir jetliner from Athens, Greece.
