John Limon (left), Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson’s installation exercise physiologist for the Health Awareness and Wellness Center, attaches a breathing hose to Army Maj. Brian Mayer, the signal officer for U.S. Army Alaska’s 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, during a VO2 max test and gait analysis on JBER, Alaska, Oct. 1, 2014. Mayer will serve as captain for the USARAK Ten-Miler team as they travel to Washington to compete in the Army Ten-Miler, the second largest 10-mile race in the United States.
