Konstantynow Lodzki, Poland -- Henryk Brzyszcz, left, mayor of Konstantynow Lodzki, tells the story of a WWII U.S. bomber crew that went down here March 15, 1945, killing two of the seven on board. Mayor Brzyszcz invited Lt. Col. Kristofer Padilla, 52nd Operations Group Detachment 1 commander, based out of Lask Air Base, Poland, and members of the South Dakota Air National Guard 114th Fighter Wing to participate in a memorial service honoring the WWII U.S. bomber crew Sept. 4.
