Lt. Col. Timothy Watson, who hails from Atkinson, N.H., and is the commander of the 2nd Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment, attached to the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division - Baghdad, presents a U.S. Army Commendation Medal to Pfc. Kyler Griffiths, a truck driver assigned to Forward Support Company E, 94th Brigade Support Bn., attached to 2nd "Warrior" Bn., 4th Inf. Regt., Dec. 13, during a ceremony at Forward Operating Base Falcon in southern Baghdad's Rashid District. Griffiths, who calls Kennewick, Wash., his home, also received a Purple Heart and Combat Action Badge during the ceremony. Approximately 800 Soldiers received medals for service throughout their 15-month deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The Warriors Bn. is tentatively scheduled to redeploy to their home station, Fort Polk, La., early next month.
