Major General David Poythress (center) the Adjutant General of the Georgia National Guard is interviewed by local TV reporters as reaction builds to the Department of Defense (DoD) decision to possibly eliminate the 116th Bomb Wing and the approximately 1,200 jobs that go with it from the Georgia National Guard. The General was at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, to answer questions from members of the unit who found out Tuesday the DoD's decision to eliminate the B-1 Lancer Bomber (background) from the Air National Guard inventory. The unit had been flying the B-1 since 1996 after relocating the wing from Marietta, Georgia, near Atlanta to Robins Air Force Base in central Georgia
