Marines and Soldiers attach an M777 Howitzer to a CH-53E Super Stallion in support of an external lift exercise during Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 366’s deployment for training exercise at Fort Carson, Colorado, Feb. 6, 2020. The purpose of the exercise is to increase the squadron’s proficiency in cold weather and high altitude aviation operations and strengthen interoperability with the U.S. Army. The Marines and aircraft are assigned to HMH-366, Marine Aircraft Group 29, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing.
